La Fondazione Sardi per l’Arte, avviata nel 2014, opera a favore dell’arte moderna e contemporanea. Nata dalla passione per l’arte della sua fondatrice, Pinuccia Sardi, l’ambito d’intervento della Fondazione va dalla valorizzazione di figure importanti, note e meno note, del panorama artistico novecentesco, alla promozione di iniziative a favore di giovani artisti, critici, studiosi, curatori, al recupero di documenti e archivi d’artisti o di personalità loro legate.
La Fondazione opera dunque sia per promuovere nuove realtà e progetti sia per contribuire alla conservazione dell’esistente. Per queste finalità svolge la propria attività in autonomia o in collaborazione con altre importanti realtà cittadine e regionali, nello sviluppo congiunto di progetti relativi all’arte.
“Dopo decenni dedicati all’attività di galleria – spiega Pinuccia Sardi – ho sentito la necessità di concentrarmi su una dimensione più protetta per favorire e approfondire le ricerche di artisti e curatori e per indagare l’arte sia da un punto di vista storico che contemporaneo, locale come internazionale. Ho scelto la costituzione di una Fondazione dedicata all’arte seguendo gli interessi che già avevo avviato con l’attività della Galleria Carlina, e prima ancora con quella di Grafica Internazionale che mi hanno permesso, con oltre quarant’anni di lavoro e di esperienza, di approfondire la ricerca di artisti come Carol Rama della quale la Fondazione è oggi uno dei principali promotori, ma anche Carla Accardi, Maria Lai, Alighiero Boetti, solo per citare alcuni nomi. I progetti futuri della Fondazione sono quelli di tutela, promozione e valorizzazione dell’arte con un interesse particolare in merito alla produzione di artisti contemporanei.”

Fondazione Sardi per l’Arte, created in 2014, works to support modern and contemporary art. Based on the passion for art of its founder, Pinuccia Sardi, the foundation’s range of activity extends from a focus on important, famous and less well known figures from the panorama of the arts in the 20th century, to the organisation of initiatives to support young artists, critics, scholars and curators, and the recovery of documents and archives of artists or related personalities.
The foundation therefore operates to promote new realities and projects, as well as contributing to the conservation of existing ones. To accomplish these aims it acts independently or in collaboration with other important players in the city and region, for the joint development of projects related to art.
“After decades devoted to the activities of the gallery – Pinuccia Sardi explains – I felt the need to concentrate on a more protected dimension, to encourage and delve into the research of artists and curators, and to investigate art from a viewpoint that is both historical and contemporary, local and international. I chose to form a foundation with a focus on art by pursuing the interests I developed in the activities of Galleria Carlina, and before that with the gallery of Grafica Internazionale, which have permitted me – in over forty years of work and experience – to concentrate on the research of artists like Carol Rama, for whom the foundation is one of the leading promoters, but also Carla Accardi, Maria Lai, Alighiero Boetti, just to name a few. The future projects of the foundation involve the protection, promotion and enhancement of art with a particular accent on the production of contemporary artists.”
